Transgender and Ministry

Transgender and Ministry

I came across this story and video and wanted to share this woman’s insights.  She is a transgender pastor.  She argues, like I do, that we all should feel welcome at the table of communion with Christ.

It is moving to know that 1) Woman can take on active roles as clergy in what was and has been and still seems to be, a male-dominated hierarchy over spirituality.  2) She is identifying as transgender and to be transgender and a member of clergy is rare indeed.

Her feelings really mirror my own in so many ways.
