Room for Everyone in The Kingdom — Mark 4:26-29

Mark 4:26-29 – New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Growing Seed

26 He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”

Reflection:

As long as the foundation of our souls remains fertile and receptive to the seeds of knowledge, wisdom, compassion, love, and humanity, we all have the capacity to bear good fruit and accomplish good works.  By God’s gifts and God’s grace we are nurtured and provided for as well.  God gifts are given to all who are willing to receive them.  Don’t think for one second that just because you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, transgender, or pansexual that you are no worthy of God’s gifts, salvation, redemption, forgiveness, or dignity and respect!  All seeds can bear good fruit and all of us are precious and we all have equal potential for greatness if we believe and strive to be better people.
