We Can Do Better than This and We Should Demand More!

The Creeping Villainy of American Politics

We should be holding our elected leaders and representatives accountable for their speech and their rhetoric. We should condemn hate speech, bigotry and anti-Muslim fervor.  We need to remember our core values of inclusiveness, fairness, justice for all, equality, freedom of religion, freedom of speech and expression.  With these values and freedoms comes a tremendous responsibility to not infringe on the rights of others to express their faith or religious beliefs– be they Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or Buddhist, or gay, straight, or transgender.

We should be holding our elected representatives in government to higher moral standards!  We can send letters, hold rallies, or hit the ballot box come election season and let these representatives know that they do not speak for us!  The United States has always been the land of the free… but now amateur politicians like Donald Trump and career politicians like Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush and others are basically defining the United States as a members only country club for white Christians.

This has got to stop!
