From Jesus to Christ – A Historical Perspective

As a history buff and freelance researcher with a pair of degrees in history and social sciences and sociology, studying the linkages between historical fact and archival materials with religious text does hold a lot of fascination for me. As a Christian, I really want to know who this man was that we call Jesus the Christ.  I think we all do.  I think we’d like to know something about the man that will confirm our faith in his existence, his ministry, and maybe even his resurrection.

I came across a wonderful two-part documentary from Frontline, entitled, “From Jesus to Christ” that hopes to present Jesus through the historical perspective. Who he was, how early Christianity developed from his ministry, and do we really know the man behind the world sweeping movement that Christianity became and still is today?
