Habakkuk 3:6

Habakkuk 3:6 (NKJV)

“He stood and measured the earth; He looked and startled the nations. And the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills bowed. His ways are everlasting.”

I thought I would go in a different direction today and poke into the Old Testament and the short book of Habakkuk for some random insights and this is what I have come up with. And as I reflect on this passage, it becomes more timely and relevant if one considers living in a nation of political turmoil and societal divides. God takes account of all things and as Creator or Grand Designer, He is aware of the pieces and parts as well as the roles and functions mankind plays in the drama of life.

If it is His will, God can re-arrange, modify, change, enable, inspire, remove, add, restore, and return. Things may seem chaotic and crazy but God is steady and sure and always reliable to set things back in His order in His appointed time. God can mend what is broken. God can strengthen what seems weak. God can also bring to light what is corrupt and hidden in shadows as well. Have no fear in that! God will see that the unjust are held accountable.
